1.4Page 243, after line 21, insert:
1.5 "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256.01, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.6to read:
1.7 Subd. 44. Implementation of audit recommendations. No later than February 1 each
1.8year following a year in which the Department of Human Services was subject to an
audit
1.9under section 3.971, the commissioner must submit to the chairs and ranking minority
1.10members of the legislative committees with fiscal jurisdiction over the Department
of Human
1.11Services a report detailing whether the department has implemented any recommendations
1.12identified during the prior five years by the legislative auditor in a financial audit,
program
1.13evaluation, or special review. The report must include a specific itemization of
1.14recommendations that have not been implemented during that period, along with the
basis
1.15for that decision."
1.16Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.17Amend the title accordingly
