Subd. 3. Equipment requirements. An employer must require the use of the following
1.4equipment when an individual subject to this section is scuba diving:
1.5(1) a buoyancy-control device;
1.6(2) a mask;
1.7(3) a compressed gas cylinder and valve;
1.8(4) a primary regulator;
1.9(5) a breathing-gas monitoring device;
1.10(6) a quick-release weight system and weights; and
1.11(7) at least one audible emergency surface-signaling device.
1.12 Subd. 4. Equipment requests. An employer must provide the use of the following
1.13equipment when a diver requests it:
1.14(1) an illuminated dive beacon;
1.15(2) a depth-monitoring device;
1.16(3) fins and snorkel;
1.17(4) alternate air source;
1.18(5) adequate exposure protection appropriate for local dive conditions; and
1.19(6) a dive computer or recreational dive planner (RDP)."
