1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:
1.3 "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 53B.69, subdivision 12, is amended to read:
1.4 Subd. 12.
Virtual currency kiosk transaction. "Virtual currency kiosk transaction"
1.5means a transaction conducted or performed, in whole or in part, by electronic means
via
1.6a virtual currency kiosk. Virtual currency kiosk transaction
also means a transaction made
1.7at a virtual currency kiosk to purchase currency with fiat currency or to sell virtual
currency
1.8for fiat currency is limited to withdrawing funds from a virtual currency kiosk.
1.9 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 53B.75, is amended by adding a subdivision to
1.10read:
1.11 Subd. 6. Prohibition. Virtual currency kiosk operators are prohibited from allowing
1.12new and existing customers from depositing funds into a virtual currency kiosk."
1.13Amend the title accordingly
