1.1Senator Koran moved to amend H.F. No. 4772, as amended pursuant to Rule 45,
1.2adopted by the Senate April 11, 2024, as follows:
1.3(The text of the amended House File is identical to S.F. No. 4729.)
1.4Page 16, after line 2, insert:

1.5    "Sec. 18. Minnesota Statutes 2023 Supplement, section 10A.273, subdivision 1, is amended
1.6to read:
1.7    Subdivision 1. Contributions during legislative session. (a) A candidate for the
1.8legislature or for constitutional office, the candidate's principal campaign committee, or a
1.9political committee, a political party, or party unit established by all or a part of the party
1.10organization within a house of the legislature, must not solicit or accept a contribution from
1.11a registered lobbyist, political committee, political fund, or an association not registered
1.12with the board during a regular session of the legislature.
1.13(b) A registered lobbyist, political committee, political fund, or an association not
1.14registered with the board must not make a contribution to a candidate for the legislature or
1.15for constitutional office, the candidate's principal campaign committee, or a political
1.16committee or party unit established by all or a part of the party organization within a house
1.17of the legislature during a regular session of the legislature.
1.18(c) Regardless of when made, a contribution made by a lobbyist, political committee,
1.19or political fund in order to attend an event that occurs during a regular session of the
1.20legislature and that is held by the principal campaign committee of a candidate for the
1.21legislature or constitutional office, or by a political party organization within a body of the
1.22legislature, is a violation of this section.
1.23(d) Regardless of when made, a contribution from a lobbyist, political committee, or
1.24political fund for membership or access to a facility operated during the regular session of
1.25the legislature by the principal campaign committee of a candidate for the legislature or
1.26constitutional office, or by a political party organization within a body of the legislature, is
1.27a violation of this section.
1.28EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment."
1.29Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.30Amend the title accordingly
