1.8Communication System Equipment Grants
1.9$10,000,000 the first year is appropriated from
1.10the general fund for grants to local units of
1.11government, federally recognized Tribal
1.12entities, and state agencies participating in the
1.13statewide Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency
1.14Response (ARMER) public safety radio
1.15communication system established under
1.16Minnesota Statutes, section 403.36,
1.17subdivision 1e. The grants must be used to
1.18purchase or upgrade portable radios, mobile
1.19radios, and related equipment that is
1.20interoperable with the ARMER system. Each
1.21local government unit may receive only one
1.22grant. Each grant is contingent upon a match
1.23of at least five percent from nonstate funds.
1.24Of this amount, $300,000 is for each of Rock,
1.25Jackson, Lac qui Parle, Roseau, and Red Lake
1.26Counties. The director of the Department of
1.27Public Safety Emergency Communication
1.28Networks Division, in consultation with the
1.29Statewide Emergency Communications Board,
1.30must administer the grant program."

2.2TRANSFER.
2.3The commissioner of management and budget shall transfer $10,000,000 in fiscal year

2.6Correct the subdivision and section totals and the appropriations by fund
2.7Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
