	About the Debate:
	People who lease automobiles currently pay a portion of the lease sales tax as part of the monthly lease payment. To help resolve the $160 million projected deficit, the Governor is proposing that the total sales tax on lease payments be due when the lease begins. The Governor's tax bill, including this provision, is before the committee.
