Several major crime prevention initiatives are before the committee:
SF 1661 - Making it a crime to flee a peace officer, regardless if it's on foot or other means (00:00:00);
SF 1892 - Increasing the amount of restitution to victims of identify theft (00:06:05);
SF 1791 - Raising the amount of reimbursement to peace officers for the purchase of modern, soft body armor or bullet proof vests (00:25:23);
SF 1888 - Stiffening the penalties for invading privacy (01:01:08);
SF 2245 - Including sex trafficking to the crime of promoting prostitution (01:20:44);
SF 1630 - Extending the time limit for prohibiting trespassing (01:51:28);
SF 2211 - Adding authority to the Dept. of Natural Resources for combating invasive species (02:11:41);
SF 2515 - Allowing drivers to keep a clipped drivers license for identification purposes following a DWI license revocation (02:16:08);
SF 1945 - Clarifying the reissuance of license plates for an impounded vehicle (02:20:54).
