| The Committee took testimony on the tax and gaming bills. SF 1504 - Sen. Majority Leader, John Hottinger's tax bill with income and cigarette tax increases. SF 748 - The Governor's tax bill carried by Sen. Bill Belanger, with cuts in Local Government Aids. The committee also discussed HF 646, the Racino bill to allow slot machines at Canterbury Park. Amendments were offered to allow slots at another future horseracing track (site to be determined), and another would allow slot machines at bars throughout Minnesota. |
