About the Debate:
The Senate Crime Prevention and Public Safety Committee discussed a bill to lower the legal blood alcohol limit to .08 (SF 58). Minnesota will lose transportation funding dollars unless the state reduces it's blood alcohol limit from .10 to .08. The committee took testimony in favor and in opposition to the bill. In the end, the bill passed and was sent on to the Senate Finance Committee.
