About the Debate:
The Senate Commerce and Utilities Committee discussed two bills. One of the bills, SF 35 would prohibit the sale of violent and sexually explicit video games (rated AO or M) to children 16 years of age and younger. The bill failed to pass.

Members also discussed a bill requiring insurance companies to cover FDA approved contraceptives as part of their health coverage. SF 269 passed and was forwarded to the Health and Family Security Committee.
