| The Senate Commerce and Utilities Committee discussed two bills, SF 157 (Scheid) and SF 156 (Kelley). SF157 further regulates how insurance companies notify consumers of cancellation of their homeowners insurance policy. The bill was referred to the Senate Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Banking. SF 156 clarifies an existing law aimed at protecting consumer information held by Internet service providers. The bill passed and was re-referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. |
