| Senate Minority Leader Dick Day, Senator Dave Kleis, and Senator Kenric Scheevel unveil the Senate Republican plan to balance the additional $439 million deficit in the current budget. The plan includes using the following funds to balance the $439 million remaining shortfall: $65 million from the 21st Century Minerals Fund, $155 million balance from the current cash flow account, and $219 million from the tobacco endowment fund (earmarked for smoking cessation programs.) The proposal does not raise taxes. |
