| Special Session: The Senate held a Special Session and passed: H.F. 1 - provides flood relief for northwestern Minnesota; H.F. 2 - restores charitable tax deductions for Minnesotans who pay the state Alternative Minimum Tax; and H.F 3 - eliminates the sales tax on gravel delivery. The Senate unanimously passed H.F. 1 - a $32.4 million flood relief package for the City of Roseau and other Northwestern Minnesota communities hit by summer floods caused by heavy rains. The aid is for home, business and infrastructure repair. The package also includes relief to farmers who suffered crop damage. The Senate also passed H.F. 2 - restores charitable tax deductions for Minnesotans who pay the state Alternative Minimum Tax; and H.F 3 - eliminates the sales tax on gravel delivery.
