	About the Session:
	The Senate passes the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture funding bill (S.F. 10) and the Higher Education funding bill (S.F. 11). These are two of the eight major appropriations bills needed to keep state government operating normally. The Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture bill appropriates $548 million to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the Agriculture Department, the Department of Natural Resources, and state parks. The bill passed 55-5. The Higher Education bill appropriates $2.84 billion to the University of Minnesota and the schools in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system. It includes about $176 million in new funding. The bill passed 41-19. The Senate will reconvene on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at 1:00 p.m.
