| A resolution was offered that addresses
the current crisis in the domestic steel industry. Minnesota taconite
companies are closing and cutting back on production resulting in major
job loss and economic distress. The resolution requests that the federal
government step up efforts to halt the importation of illegal steel to the
United States. Senator David Tomassoni, DFL-Chisholm, authored Senate File 0258.
