| An amendment to the Omnibus DWI bill (SF 1208) that would lower the
legal blood alcohol limit to .08 from .10 was defeated and several bills
were considered on Special Orders. Senator Leo Foley, DFL-Coon Rapids,
authored Senate File 1208, a bill that makes changes in DWI provisions.
The amendment to lower the legal blood alcohol limit was also sponsored
by Senator Foley. The amendment failed 33-30. The bill passed 58-5.
