| Numerous bills were considered on the Special Orders Calendar. A bill
that increases penalties for extreme cruelty to pets or companion animals
passed (S.F. 197-Betzold). A bill that crackdowns on child pornography on
the Internet and allows judges to issue search warrants that could extend to
other states passed (S.F. 969-Chaudhary). A bill that allows alleged card
cheaters to be detained at Canterbury Park for up to an hour until the police
arrive passed (S.F. 1008-Betzold). In addition, a bill that allows bingo
games to be conducted between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and not subject to the
15 game minimum passed (S.F. 986-Stumpf).
