	The Senate passes a budget resolution (S.R. 94) and other bills on the consent calendar. The budget resolution would spend $1.3 billion over the next two years and cut taxes by $609 million. This proposal spends more than the plans proposed by the Governor and the House of Representatives. Senator Doug Johnson, DFL-Tower, sponsored the budget resolution. The Senate passed the resolution on a 38-28 vote.
