| Three property tax reform proposals (S.F. 2212, S.F. 2298 & S.F. 631) were
heard by the committee. Senator John Hottinger, DFL-Mankato, authored S.F.
2212. Senate File 2212 exempts the first $15,000 of market value of
homestead from taxation, provides a tax credit for business property and makes
the local education levy a state levy. Testimony was given on the bill.
