	About the Meeting:
	A proposal to make elections more fair and clean by reforming how campaigns are financed was heard by the committee. Senator John Marty, DFL-Roseville, authored Senate File 90. The bill replaces the income tax checkoff for political parties with a general fund appropriation and sets conditions for receiving public subsidies. Beth Fraizer from the Minnesota Alliance for Campaign Reform testified before the committee. The bill is to be continued.
