| Five bills were considered by the Committee including a bill (S.F. 1178) that
makes seatbelt violations a primary offense. Senator John Hottinger, DFL
Mankato, authored Senate File 1178. The bill would allow police to pull over
a car if the driver or any front seat passenger wasn't wearing their seatbelt.
Senate File 1178 was sent to the Floor without a recommendation from the committee on a 7 to 5 vote. Other bills considered include: S.F. 2028, S.F. 1244, S.F. 1552, and S.F. 1712. |
