Section 1. Safe schools levy. Increases the safe schools levy allowance for school districts (allowance is blank in bill as introduced). Links the safe schools levy pass-through authority for intermediate district members to the authority for school districts. For example, a 50% increase in the authority for school districts would result in a 50% increase in the pass-through authority for intermediate district members. Makes this section effective for taxes payable in 2019 and later.
