Section 1 (254A.035, subd. 2) extends from June 30, 2018, to June 30, 2023, the American Indian Advisory Council.
Section 2 (256N.24, subd. 2a) requires the Commissioner of Human Services, in consultation with representatives from communities of color and others, to review and revise the Minnesota assessment of parenting for children and youth (MAPCY) tool that is used to assess children to determine eligibility for benefits under Northstar Care for Children, and incorporate changes that take into consideration different cultures and the diverse needs of communities of color.
Section 3 (260.835, subd. 1a) requires the commissioner, in partnership with the American Indian Child Welfare Advisory Council, to develop, establish, and conduct a rigorous outreach campaign in an effort the recruit American Indian guardian ad litems.
Section 4 (260.835, subd. 2) extends from June 30, 2018, to June 30, 2023, the American Indian Child Welfare Advisory Council.
