S.F. No. 2999 - Transit Financial Activity Reporting Frequency Change

Author: Senator Scott J. Newman

Prepared By: Alexis C. Stangl, Senate Counsel (651/296-4397)

Date: March 5, 2018

S.F. No. 2999 amends the timing and frequency of the transit financial activity review of Metropolitan Council transportation division by the legislative auditor. The legislative auditor is required to submit the report twice each year.  Each reporting period is six months and is due 90 days after the reporting period closes.  A cross-reference to the Counties Transit Improvement Board (CTIB) is removed because the Board has dissolved. The reporting requirement expires on April 15, 2023.
