S.F. No. 788 - Transcripts For Body Camera Recordings Not Required
Author: Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen
Prepared By: Kenneth P. Backhus, Senate Counsel (651/296-4396)
Date: March 6, 2017

S.F. No. 788 provides that recordings made by peace officer body cameras are not excluded from evidence in a criminal proceeding because a transcript of the recording was not made. This results in body camera recordings being treated the same as dashboard camera recordings.
