Section 1 amends the statute classifying certain data collected convention facilities and similar entities to update a reference to the name of the Minnesota Sports Facility Authority.

Section 2 provides that data regarding persons receiving free or discounted admission, tickets, or other gifts from convention facilities and similar entities like the Minnesota Sports Facility Authority are public data unless the data are classified under subdivision 1 (which appears in section 1 of the amendment) or subdivision 4 under current law (classification of data of a nonprofit organization the city of Saint Paul contracts with to market and promote the city as a tourist or convention center).
