SF No. 393 creates an enhanced service, complex personal care assistance services, within the existing PCA program. Complex PCA services are available only to service recipients who require ten or more hours of service per day. Providers of complex PCA services will receive an enhanced rate equal to 120 percent of the standard rate for PCA services, but only if the PCA who provides the complex PCA services is qualified to provide the complex services.  To be qualified to provide complex PCA services, the PCA must have completed all the nursing assistant training and competency evaluation requirements.
